Personal Identity
My identity represents the essence of where my creative process begins as a graphic designer and illustrator, which at all times start with a rough sketch.
I wanted the initial of my last name to stand as my icon in a simple yet creative way. After several thumbnail sketches, I noticed that the counter of the letter W resembled the top of a pencil. Eureka! This is how I came about the idea of the "W" pencil icon.
I also wanted the icon to represent my energetic personality and varied skill set, which allows me to take different directions as a creative. By placing greater emphasis on the triangle (point of the pencil) I was able to incorporate the latter.
